An accessory in four steps
- Pick the accessory. Mic clip, shock mount, thread adapter, cable clip, pop filter or phone mount.
- Measure. Enter your mic, tube, cable or phone size. Everything else is sized from it.
- Choose the mount. Screw onto a 5/8″ or 3/8″ stand or a 1/4″ tripod screw, or clamp onto a tube. The hinge sets the angle.
- Print and assemble. Parts print without supports. Join the hinge with one bolt and nut.
Settings that work
Threads
Print threaded parts upright in PETG with 0.12–0.16 mm layers. If a thread binds, raise the thread clearance by 0.05 mm.
Clips that flex
Print mic clips standing up so the C flexes along its layers. PETG or TPU clips survive thousands of snaps.
Hinges
The hinge takes an M4, M5 or M6 bolt. The nut pocket holds the nut so you tighten it by hand or with one tool.
Mic stand accessories FAQ
Which thread does my mic stand have?
Most stands sold in the US use 5/8″-27. Many European stands use 3/8″-16. Camera gear uses 1/4″-20.
Are printed threads strong enough?
Yes for mics, clips, pop filters and phones. For heavier gear use PETG or PA with 100% infill.
Can I convert a 5/8″ clip to fit a 3/8″ stand?
Yes. Make the sleeve insert, or a two-ended adapter with the threads you need.
How do I size a mic clip?
Measure the mic where the clip will hold it. For handheld mics use the tapered clip and measure both ends of the grip area.
